Lake Erie Defenders will be holding tryouts for those players who are interested in developing their basketball skills. Tryouts will be Sunday February 15th @ PennWest Edinboro University, Crawford Center . Boys 1pm - 2pm / Girls 12pm - 1pm. Unlike the other programs, we never have tryout fees. We will NOT ask for a deposit to hold a spot. Organizations should not be charging you for a tryout or deposit to hold a spot for you.
Below only applies to Ohio tryouts
OHIO - 7th grade - 12th grade - tryouts - LAke erie defenders - boys & girls
We will not be having tryouts for 7th - 12th Grade Boys & Girls. The main reason for this is that if you are playing for a school team you are NOT allowed to tryout for any AAU team. Once 1st practice begins you may not tryout or practice with anyone else other than your team. We may have a few openings on a couple of teams. Once you start practicing with your school team, 7th grade an up you are NOT allowed to practice, train (shooting clinics) or play 3 on 3 at all until your season is over. You are only allowed 1 on1 training. If you are caught doing this your child could become ineligible and your team could have to forfeit all the games they played in. We would never take that risk with your child. Many parents do not know these rules. Unlike others, we would never risk this for your child.
